Unlike our usual flying areas, here we need very specific weather and operational conditions to be met.

To undertake this journey, we are looking for suitable winds, generally from the west, which allow you to cross the mountains along a safe route and enjoy the scenery from a vantage point that would otherwise be difficult to reach.

Meeting point and time

Flights over the The Serra de Tramuntana means you have to start the day very early. Depending on the forecast conditions and the wind direction, the meeting point may be in different areas of the mountain range, such as Sóller, Lluc or Escorca.

The need to travel along mountain roads and make the necessary journeys to the take-off area means that, on some occasions, we have to meet before the sunrise. Therefore, for those staying some distance from the Tramuntana mountains, we offer the option of spend the night before near the meeting point, such as at the Lluc guesthouse, thus avoiding a long journey in the early hours.
